if90.net is a common-interest blog founded by myself and good friend Yang Wong. At the core of its current navigational design is a two-pronged approach: horizontal scrolling for browsing lists of posts; and traditional vertical scrolling for viewing the individual posts themselves. The aim was to experiment with how modern screen real estate – which is increasingly widescreen – could be better utilised in a blogging scenario.

Development if90.net is powered by WordPress. The current theme was designed and built from scratch with XHTML, CSS and PHP. Support for horizontal mouse wheel scrolling was implemented using JavaScript.
Trivia The background patterns, which change periodically, are taken from our very own real-life wardrobes.
